Ceremony location review: San Jose City Hall and Rotunda, California
If you’re planning your wedding in the San Francisco Bay Area, the first big step is trying to find a ceremony or reception area. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could just know in advance what it’ll look like? And that’s what this ceremony/reception review is all about

San Jose rotunda and City Hall - a beautiful ceremony location for a San Francisco wedding, very urban and modern architecture
The San Jose City Hall, located in the south bay, offers a beautiful, modern design that can easily accommodate 200 guests. Located at the heart of San Jose, you’ll find parking garages as well as street parking in front of the Rotunda itself. It offers a variety of angles so ask your photographer about doing your “first glance” shoot at the city hall – there’s plenty of space, stairs, and just amazing viewpoints that provide a great variety for your album.

The San Jose City Hall has a bit of a different pricing model than other event centers – it charges by the hour. Make sure to look into security add-ons for example if you’re planning to hold your reception there; this can be used to your advantage as a cheaper solution for a ceremony site. That being said, it’s truly breathtaking for the bride who has modern sensibilities. The best time to schedule a wedding there is approximately 2h before sunset – the way the light hits the building is just breathtaking, inside and out!
