Earlier this year I was fortunate enough to photograph Katrina Patchett, winner dancer of Season 1 of Dancing with the Stars French edition. Well, here I am again, lucky to be photographing the winner of season 2 of Dancing With the Stars, Maxime Dereymez. Maxime will be the all around favorite for the upcoming 3rd season debuting in just a few weeks in Paris.

One of the challenges and really fascinating aspects of working with celebrity dancers is to highlight the different sides of their personalities, which really gets showcased in the way they move. I wanted to make sure I captured some of Max’s silly side, because he has these awesome bursts of fun/crazy laughter!

To finish it off, we did a few more with more Katrina and Maxime together, since they are also professional competitors outside of the show. Enjoy!

It is SUCH an honor to receive DIY Weddings Magazine! When we heard the news that Melanie and Chase’s Los Altos History Museum wedding was going to be printed, we did a little (ok, not so little) dance of joy. Seeing it in person is so rewarding!

We are so honored that Jessica & Keith’s wedding was featured in Destination I Do! Magazine. This texan couple chose us for their San Francisco celebration – and what a journey it was! We started at the Legion of Honor and continued to China Beach where Jessica and Keith exchanged vows with the Golden Gate Bridge as their backdrop. What would you do in Paris? I’d take photographs… and in fact, I had the great privilege of photographing Katrina Patchett, French celebrity and winner of Dancing With the Stars Season 1. Katrina is the most talented dancer, and combines elegance with beauty and humor. She’s so much fun to work with! After winning the prime time show, she’s been spending extra time teaching people across the world how to express their passion through ballroom. Of course, she’s also come back for season 2 and came close to winning a second time! She lost to her competition partner, Maxime Dereymez, who you can see below. But wait… could that mean that I also did a celebrity shoot with season 2 winner? You’ll have to come back to find out…

We are so excited to show you this maternity session – JoJo was a dancer, and we were able to do a session that both reflected a fashion / modern sensibility while integrating that truly unique dancing ability. Isn’t she elegant?

What a ridiculous year it’s been already! We’ve won an award, gotten into a wedding print magazine… how can it get better?


Friday I get a chat – “Congrats on being featured by Blurb in their newsletter for Valentine’s Day!!”. What? Our book was chose among hundreds of thousands?? Seriously? Yes, seriously. The Blurb staff chose Gina & Luke’s wedding guest book as an example to all their customers. We’re so honored!

Yelena and Elon chose the Monterey Museum of Art – La Mirada for their celebration. It was a really gorgeous, sunny day in Monterey so we were able to go to Lover’s Point for some of the couple photos. Their beautiful blue and yellow themed wedding was lots of fun – congratulations Yelena & Elon!!
