Tara and Sean had a wonderful wine country themed wedding at the California Golf Club in South San Francisco! The California Gold Club offers amazing grounds and views wherever you turn. When you first come in, you are greeted by wonderful rows of trees and a grand entrance. The building presents itself with elegance and grace, and you have to love the welcoming fountain in front!

There are accessible grounds in front and back of the building. For Tara and Sean’s wedding, we even had access to golf carts to roam around and pick our favorite views! That allowed both the bride and groom to take photos with their parties before the wedding without risking their significant other – or the guests – to see them before the ceremony!
The ceremony can be held outdoors or indoors. Tara and Sean were very fortunate to have lovely weather for their ceremony, so they enjoyed a very elegant outdoor wedding overlooking the green fields and trees as far as the eye could see!
After the ceremony the guests enjoyed an open bar with drinks outdoors and indoors. The bar area is situated to the left of the entrance, while the reception area is separated to the right, so that the cocktail hour can happen right next to the reception area, but guests can mingle, talk, take photos at the photobooth that was made available to them, and have fun! This relaxing time gave the bride and groom plenty of time to escape and take beautiful formal shots without being interrupted. A little quiet time after the “I dos” is very precious

I love inspiration boards! This one, strong in passion with contrast of reds and blacks, showcases a wonderful venue: the San Jose Rotunda, aka San Jose City Hall. The city hall is incredibly photogenic and offers angles upon angles. The event center charges many of its services by the hour, but you have the option to just do the ceremony there or hold the reception in this gorgeous, modern building there as well.

Happy new year everyone! To start us off, I thought I’d share a great inspiration board from fabulous weddings we were a part of in 2010! If you can’t decide on just one color, don’t worry: mixing colors of the same palette makes for a powerful and rich effect. Here are ideas for use of oranges, reds with touches of purple. The mix of flowers also makes for great textures, especially for your bridesmaids’ bouquets and your centerpieces!
